You've heard of Speed Dating! Replace romance with intellect and you get SPEED NETWORKING – a popular start to several MRIA conferences and once again, created and generously hosted by ASDE.
Speed Networking is a unique program designed for conference attendees, to provide the opportunity to meet and discuss topics of mutual interests in a pre-planned setting. Delegates must be pre-registered and also have to complete a short survey before coming to the event. Once at the event, everyone meets one on one for a specific amount of time.
Each participant knows in advance
- Who they will meet
- At what time
- What they will talk about
- Encourages rapid exchange of information
- Builds increased rapport among delegates
- Encourages novice delegates to network with seniors in their field
- Starts off the MRIA conference with an environment of information exchange that carries on throughout the conference
To participate, you need to register in the Portal then complete a brief survey (no later than May 20)

The Official Opening Party for MRIA's 2015 National Conference begins with the Exhibitor Hall Opening Party, to be held on Sunday May 24, starting at 5.30 pm and located at our conference host hotel, the Marriott Eaton Centre.
With over 40 exhibitors this year – yes 40, a record – there is much to enjoy, including a free book give away, premium swag, contest, door prizes, great food and lots of space to meet and greet. The layout this year is unique with one main exhibit hallway that connects the two main ballrooms and additional breakouts that are all reserved for this year's exciting conference! The exhibitor hall is close to sold out and over 20 sponsors have stepped up so there's a lot of buzz around the storytelling theme, the keynotes and the social events!
Come share the opening with us on Sunday night, and catch up many of your colleagues from across the country, over drinks and hors d'oeuvres in an informal setting; there's music and lots of room to mingle and make new friends.
