Gayle Lunn - Moderator
Vice President, Ipsos UU, Toronto

Gayle arrived at Ipsos UU with over 18 years’ experience in the complementary worlds of advertising, marketing and consumer research. During that time, she won several innovation awards for her work in developing insights and brand strategies geared to the teen and young adult markets.

Gayle helped develop and directly manage some of Canada’s first online tracking studies and consumer panels. She has a deep understanding of how users interact in specific environments including the digital space, and uses that knowledge to build and moderate engaging experiences.

Fascinated by advances in neuroscience and trends in pop culture, Gayle applies the lenses of diverse disciplines including music, art, design, media and sports to help understand patterns of behaviour and craft meaningful insights. She has been a regular speaker to post-secondary audiences on the topic of careers in marketing research and advertising planning.


Alexandra Cohn – Panelist
Partnership and Business Development, Google Consumer Surveys

Currently charged with building partnerships with third party agencies and in-house research consultant at Google Consumer Surveys, Alexandra joined Google in 2010 and was chiefly responsible for market and consumer insights, helping top retailers and telcos in Canada understand the intersection between consumer behaviour and technology. Prior to her role with Google, Alexandra spent close to a decade in market research with TNS and Ipsos-Reid, working across a variety sectors managing research programs for Fortune 500 companies both in Toronto, Canada and London, UK. She holds a MA in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario and a MSc. in Comparative Politics, Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics. She currently lives in Toronto, Canada.


Rick Malhotra – Panelist
Head of Measurement, Canada & North America Retail/E-Commerce Verticals Facebook

As head of measurement for Canada and leader of the measurement
team for North America’s retail/e-Commerce verticals at Facebook, Rick is focused on working with leading brand and agency marketers to measure the value of marketing on Facebook in ways that are consistent with traditional business outcomes.  Rick and his team also work closely with Facebook’s product teams to ensure insight from the marketing community is incorporated into Facebook measurement products and solutions, such as the recently launched Facebook Conversion Lift tool.

Prior to joining Facebook, Rick was Director of Analytics, Measurement and Data Services at Digital Cement, a Pitney Bowes Company. Rick has also worked as a financial manager and analyst for some of Canada’s leading brands including Pepsi and Kraft Canada.

Rick is passionate about working with the measurement and analytics community to influence and lead the development of measurement solutions for a digital age. Rick holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and lives in Toronto with his wife and two daughters.


Luke Stringer - Panelist
Head of Research, Twitter Canada

Luke leads research for Twitter in Canada. He makes sense of the vast data amassed through the platform to empower business with the knowledge needed to make the most of Twitter. A research veteran, Luke was previously a Vice President at Ipsos ASI where he helped clients with early stage strategy development, brand equity and positioning measurement, as well as creative testing. Luke is a graduate of York University. He is @itslukestringer on Twitter.
